City Harvest

Last Saturday afternoon at 4pm, my wife, our baby, and I went to City Harvest at Expo for Xmas church and performance. My wife was busy with our baby at nursey school where the babies stay with their moms at one room. I went to church with my hearing friends, I was surpised to see Ken Lai, Saul and one deaf friend came to see our church . I watched the beauiful performance about relate to Jesus's born for an hours and 30 mins lecture about the save the jesus. I have had diffutcult time to live in Singapore due to different culture and personally problem. I am trying to do is improvement my own self confidence and try to reduced angry. I wanted to improvment to do training at martial arts schoool, which it helps me to improvement myself and started to training on first week of November at www.kuenculture.com, and every time, I finished training, next day, i work at my company, i turn to be happy. Bcs of reduce the stressful. If i dont training at martial arts school very often, I will turn to grumpy person. I think, i should be stick to training at Martial arts school.

back to this topic, so the pastor named Rev.Kong Hee asked someone to come to front on his stage to improvement based on my faith. The interpreter, Jac Chan(not superstar jackie chan) knew that I have a personal problem, so she suggest me to go to meet Rev. Kong Hee. I said, ok! so I came to his stage. I pray for myself for few mins. then Rev Kong Hee was doing hand shake to four people and he knew that i am deaf due to saw an interview with me. He was doing hand shake to me. I said, " thank you" he uses sign language " HI, I am happy with you and happy lord with you!" his sign langauge was not bad, i am pretty surpised he knows sign language . he has one older brother and oldest sister who are deaf. I just guess that Rev Kong dont know a lot of sign langauge, he proves me wrong. I am really glad that Rev Kong knows Sign Language. KEEP IT UP SIGN LANGUAGE FOR REV KONG HEE!

Two differents view of the job in Singapore and America.

During years of Aug 2001 to Jan 2005, I had been working at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind for 4 and half years as teacher aide,sub resident aide and sub characters work for bus on every weekend. They have had activies on every month of the events: American football homecoming, Thanksgiving, x mas , and basketball. I also usually get off from work during thanksgiving, x mas, spring break and summer. I loved my job very much. Let's me to tell you for my daily schedule:
610am: wake up
615am:showers
625am: change my clother
630am: get a truck key and leave at my house
645am: arrive to work at FSDB
7am:wake our boys at Special needs
715: get our few boys need to get medical
730: eat their breakfast

8am: go to school and get in classroom.

When I got hired from China Knowledge at Sectec City as a Web design on Nov7th.
I can feel that i got pressure that people at our company are pressure and do urgent often. My boss, Charles is chinese. I feel strange that I am not in America anymore. I looked around the Singaporean(chinese) and I am working for Singaproean company and the Deafies five collegues: Wan See, Andy Toh,(me), Mick Loh(manager), and Micheal from Malacca, Malaysia and Singaorean PR. We are doing do China Knowledge Online, we are working with China Knowledge Press with hearing co workers. I am working with Jin San and Roy, who are writer and eitdor. Roy(Singaporean) graduated at University of Texas in Austin, he told me he had a good memories during he was in USA for 6 or 8 years. Here is my daily schedule in Singapore:

Let's me say about Graphic Design in Florida. I had been interview for graphic design about 5 times from Jan 2000 to May 2000. My mind said " do my BFA degree worth to me to get graphic design job?" or due to my deafness? I knew that mostly Floridian people dont really aware about ADA law due to no one gives a leture about ADA law in Florida, so I decided to apply at FSDB as a resident aide or Teacher aide. In few days later, I got a e mail from Karla Knight, who was superivor at Elementary School at FSDB , so I got a job for Temp job and one year later, I got perm job for four years. Later on, I quitted my job on Feb 1st.

When I got a job as a web design and photo library at www.chinaknowledge.com by interview the deaf manager named Mick Loh and recommended by Wan See, who is Web Master and web programmer. She is best friend with my wife. I got a chance to work there from Nov 7th to now. In very recently, my mind says, " it is worth to have my college degress as a graphic design and photography! and thanks to WAN SEE!!!!!

Three days in a row for events.

on Dec 15th, The opening cermony dinner was helding at Singapore Swimming club at 5 30pm to 11pm. The place was quite nice and bigger dinner place. I met filipino women who wanted to foundation of the Phippline Deaf Associate for sport so we chatted them and her sigh langauge is almost same as a ASL. My wife and I were enjoying to eat the marvel food and dessert was sooooo good! I saw the international people: Korean,Taiwan, Kuwait, phippline, Malaysia, Maccau, Thailand, and solvia(spell??) Kuwait will have a host for AP sport on summer 2007, which I would like to playing for freestyle wrestling or ping pong. here is web site for Deaf Singaporean sport

on Dec 16th, my wife got a 10th years anniversity at her work called TDK. she invited me and our son to have a nice dinner. We ate a lot of Japanese food. I was pig out for sushi! ha! My wife's boss offered me to drink red wine. when I drank the red wine, I knew it is expensive wine. I told my wife s boss that OZ's wine is best of all than America's wine. My wife ate a Japanese green tea pie, i asked her " is it very good for green tea pie?" she noddled her head says " yes" so I got Japanese green tea pie and red wine. it was perfect taste for "two in one". It was really really YUMMY!


on Dec 17th, I went to 2nd anniversity of bowling. The bowling is two block of the muslim mosquie(church). I went there for doing a volunteer. I showed up at 11am, I was supposed to be there at 9 am, but I wanted to have a more hours sleep and spend time with my son. When I got a there at 11am and just a start to competation, I noticed there is not really organize at all due to lack of communication from a deaf person who is responsible at bowling events and seminar camp. that s why a person is alot of busy and do earrands. so I helped to Ken Lai for bowling event. There have 12 bowling lanes for singaporean and Malaysian bowlers. I met one guy who was coming from vietnam. I told him that My father was war with viet cong(bad vietnamese group) in Vietnam war(1965 to 1968???) My father is still refused to come to Singapore due to asian southeast and really near to Vietnam. I told him i cannot blame on him. He asked me if i am scared to travel to other place or vietnam, i told him , NO, I am not scare go there; however, I will travel to Vietnam to see the real life of the war. I also travelled over 12 differents countries. We had only chatting for 15 mins. Because he had to go to tour bus for ahead to Sentosa and I had to help my friend for bowling events. ciao!

Catch! A fishmonger's Guide to Greatness

Last Tuesday, I went to Library for looking a book called Catch! A fishmonger's guide to greatness. I looked at cover book about fishes. I realized that place called World Famous Pike Place Fish in Seatte. I went there five years ago, and really beauiful place to see. A fishmonger worker starts to work at around 630am to ?? they are have become quite skilled at throwing crab, salmon, and even bags of calms. I read this book for three days and almost finish. I am stronger recommand you to read this book and great funny stories makes you thinking to work skills, intention and determine your actions.

Phnom Penh- Angelina Jolie just became your south-east Asian neighour. Officials said she has been granted a cambodian passport.The actress, who has an adopted Cambodian child, Maddos, has campigned for environmental reforms there and was rewarded with citizenship last Aug.
an interMinistry spokesman said she applied for the passport after she was granted citizenship. Mr Stephan Bognar, executive director of the Maddox Jolie project in Cambodia, said she was "absolutely thrilled" with the passport.
The Project promotes wildlife conservation and development in a former khmer Rouge guerilla stronghold.
She donated more than US$1.5 million(S$2.5million) to the project in the past three years, Mr bognar said.

two week ago, When I was arriving at my work around 845am, so I wondered, who is winning Kelly or Andy, so I checked web url of ASP surfing touring. I looked at Kelly slater got a bigger thophy, I knew that He is 7th world Champion again! I am really glad for him to get 7th world champion again. Pioneer of Boxer named Muhammad Ali

When I was a early teenage, I was wondering, if I would able to learn how to boxing and ballet due to good balance. I alway wanted to learn anything as can as I would like to learn new thing, but I never had a done it until I was 23 years old, I met a old business Partner named Ken Barry, he is half An American and Filipino. We had a lot of martial arts training: boxing, grabbing and etc... I was studying Bruce Lee's fighting style, I realized that Bruce Lee was studying Muhammad Ali s footwork for few years. During 1970's, Ali and Bruce Lee were compromse to make a deal for best martial arts for boxing during the match on 1974; however, Bruce had really busy with his films. Unfortable, Bruce Lee died on July 20, 1973.

Anyway, I would like to know deep stories about Muhammad Ali s life book called "The Soul of a Butterfly" by Muhammad Ali with (daughter) Hana Yasmeen Ali. YOu may dont knkow that he has a real named Cassius Clay after the white owner for slave, that s why he changed his name is Muhammad Ali by leader of the Black Muslim in near to Chicago. Ali is extremely friendly and joker man. He also wrote a excellent Poem about relatation to Boxing, muslim, and his life! I am really strongest suggest you to read this book called "The Soul of a Butterfly" and it is an interesting history during 1950 to 80's stories in the America. He was face a lot of really bad discrimation by the white people in America.

Civil rights Pioneer of the black lady named Rosa Parks

When I was kid, I have had been heard a lot of Rosa Parks for long time. She refused to get up at white people's area at the bus, so she was arresting for this stupid reason by white police. Now, She still was famous person as a well known in America and pass away on Oct 24th. I am sure that she is pure happy to be heaven now. Please do read those stories about her life. It was really an interest for you to learn about American s life during 1950s to 1960s. I think, one of Deaf Singaporean will be do like this in some day!

what a busy in this week from Oct 17th to 23rd

oct 17: worked at Singapore School for the Deaf from 10am to 1pm then go to work at 4pm to 930pm at KFC.

Oct 18: went to USA embasssy from 9 30am to 1020am, I decided to eat at Mcdonald at Lucky Plaza.
Me: I asked a manager if the deaf worker are allow to work at your company.
Manager: yes, You are VIP!
Me: Itch my hair by my finger, and huh?! I said, ok, pls give me an Application form for crew, so I fill it out and introduced myself to Manager.
At around 1pm, The Singapore Assoicate for the Deaf, who works as a social worker, he wanted to meet me at border bookstore, so we dicussed for an hour, and he wanted me to do is facilitator for do SADeaf debate 2005 on Oct 21st. I told him "okay"
and I wanted to have a prepare for the list of speaker as a Facilitator.

At the KFC, I talked to my co worker for discuss the Coclear Implant. I found out that The MOH governments are planning to dicuss for support to Coclear Implants. Somehow, My other boss and I was into the agurment about the coclear Implant. My boss was support to Coclear Implant. bcs of advance Techical, and he did not talk about specific of the topic about Coclear Implant. He knew that I got a right points. I will tell you about my opionion and fact stories based on Coclear Implants on my writing book in two years later, when my book will be print out in America and Singapore.

oct 19th went to Singapore School for the Deaf at 10am to 12 30pm. The white lady came up and speak up to me. My mind says," huh?! I saw a white person came up to me, my mind says "Am i in America?!" then I tried to make a clear who she is. That her name is Sandy Kob, she was doing volunteer worker for Singapore School for the Deaf. she said, she wanted to learn sign Language more and my son is studying at Gallaudet University, and just learn sign Language two years ago. I wanted to communicate with my son. My son also has a coclear Implant. she addmit, that coclear Implant is not fitting into the hearing culture. We chatted for 45 mins.
work at KFC from 5pm to 10pm.

oct 20th: SADeaf debate 2005 from 2pm to 330pm. I had an interesting experence that Two different schools have a code of clother issue was "the uniform will be scapped" and they were dicuss by the their paper, and not talking their mind for opinion of the issue. Each kids had to look at paper and does SEE 2. it was soooo long winder to catch their SEE2. It was sooooooooo bored to dicuss. When two of sides school finish up to dicuss. I asked to people to stand up the opinion. They were sooo quiet and nothing to say. One of our staff told them to speak up for opinion of the dicuss. I was making joking to them: " our staff will not be bite you like a dog" mostly kids laughed. One of students stand up and tell them about opioion. my mind says " what is wrong with Deaf Singapore kids?!" I felt that NO ONE gives them a expore to Deaf kids at Singapore. I think, Deaf American kids at high school debate have a very good point for speak up to dicuss.

oct 21: an interview at China Knowlege by Mick Koh, who is Online Marketing Manager. He seems alittle nervous to talk me due to differnet Sign Language, so I am trying to make him to feel comfortable to talk to me. It seems goes well. We have had dicuss and explain for 45 mins. that was my longest interview ever I had.

oct 22nd went to ASL workshop from 2pm to 6pm then meet my wife s friend at 6 30pm to 8 30pm. I learned about SEE1 between SEE2. One of Deaf Singaporean lady tried to running to be leader as a USA deaf way. Mostly deaf Singaporean think that she is immpossible to do that bcs NO hearing people to help them, and they think, one of those hearing person needs to be leading. My mind says, " where is deaf leadership in Singapore?" huh?!

oct 23rd futsal football with my brother in law and cousin in law from 9 30am to noon at NTU. Then meet my co worker named jenny from 5 pm to 8 30pm for her daughter's birthday party.

Last Friday

last Friday, I had a lot of earrands to do:
1) check e mail and repond
2) talked to my sister in Law, Jann and patrick
3) go to taken professional photos at shop for my son's passport photos
4) go to ICA for fill it out a Singaporean Passport for my son
5) go to Singapore Associate for the Deaf and talked to social Worker, he dont know really very good sign language. He wants me to do MC for secondary debate on Oct 22nd.

I found a book called "Notes from My Travels" by Angeline Jolie. That book is highly suggest for learn their culture and visited with Refugess in Africa, Cambodia, Pakistan, and Ecuador. She was working with United Nations HIgh Commissioner for Refugess. (UNHCR) I know a lot of famous movie star has a high class and chip their shoulder, but Angelina is really helpful topoor people and willing to learn their standard lifestyle.

Bomb by JL muslim at Bali,Indonesia

During Oct 1, 2005, The three bombing site at Bali, Indonesia. This place is soooooo beauiful and good place for surfing and buy a lot of cheaper clother. I went there for four times. I learned that the three JL( bad muslim group) guys had bomb at their kneebag on their back to use for bomb. I wondered, how was my deafies folk baliese friends? I sms to my friend named Putt.

Ken: I heard about the bali bomb again. Are you okay?

Putt:Hi putt fine, sorry late for sms because i very sad look the watch tv bomb at kuta sqaure bali. I not work but close shopping, restoran(resturant) so sad!!!!!

Ken: whew, you are okay now. I remembered that kuta sqaure was nice but it was quite a expenive place due to foreign people went there for shopping.

American Pioneer Marital arts

When I was 13 years old, I have had seen this marital Arts pioneer/actor Chuck Norris for my life. I had seen his first movie with Bruce Lee in 1972, which Chuck got into fame walk to famous actor. I was really surpised that Chuck was around 30's years old. Bruce Lee came up to Chuck for made a introduced himself. That s how Chuck and Bruce became good friend as a Martial arts partner.

He has a good friend of Deaf person who is under Chuck Norris at his dojo. I dont know his name. I read the Ringo news about chuck Norris's deaf friend. He is really extremently nice man! My old roommate, Jeff suggest me that this book called "The Secret Power Within", by Chuck Norris in 1998. I did not chance to read in 1998, so Last week, I read this book was really good and done for two days. One of my favourite book called "The Secret power within" is insirpational on many counts, I am recommend it highly. Kenichi

Genting and KL (my first business trip)

My business parnter, Thomas Ong(he is not famous actor singaporean! ha ha) and I went to Jurour Barau, Malaysia for pay the bus ticket (26RM per person) and We went to get in the bus at 3pm. I sit by the window and can see biggest palm tree. I noticed that Biggest palm tree is more biggest than USA palm tree. We rode the bus from Singapore to KL for 5 and half hours.
We arrived at Bus stop near to KL tower(3rd world tallest building) and hop out of bus. We walked to food court, I forgot the name of the place for food court and we ordered the fried kiew finu??? and the food was quite good. I forgot to taken the photos of the food! oh, shoot! then we walked to see mall and browse around the mall. Thomas was doing stupid and funny joking around the people. Some of people was laughed at him and some of people was not sure if he is mental Retard or not! We got hop in for Genting at 830pm, and took for an hour to drive to get there. The taxi cost was 45 RM from KL to Genting. I went there four years ago with my girlfriend(now my wife) and Malysian friends. we rode a lot of down and up and doing a lot of upward to moutain! The weather turned to be colder(18 C) during the night time. we arrived there around 945pm. I saw the beauiful hotel five stars and Thomas was looking for a boss who works a hotel, it was supposed to be free for one night, but the boss did not info to his co worker. Thomas decided to get two nights for hotels at first hotel three stars, and paid 255RM for two nights. We were browse around the genting from 11pm to 1am. At 3 am, Thomas went to see his boss, but the boss is still not there. so he talked to assistant manager said, " the boss is not free to come to see you" I was sleep that time.
at 11am in the morning, Thomas explain what happen about the situation. I was like "AAAHHHHHH, the boss at hotel should have known better to info thomas in advance time" sooo blah blah !!!!
