China New Year in USA at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind

During Feb 2004, The teacher at high school asked me to do lecture about China New Year. I told them, okay, but I had to ask my boss, Mary Taylor for permit to do my lecture to your kids at around 11am to 1pm. I came in the classroom at around 1045am. I was prepare to do leture and show the web site from Singapore for CNY.(I am trying to remember to explain you what happen that event.)
I was alittle nervous to lecture, My mind must to be more funny, more face expressional, and explaining them in good details. I was explaining them about Chinese: culture, food, myths,food, and people. When I was finish up the leture, many kids asked me a lot of question about Chinese people. The two teachers at high school asked me to invite the chinese food. I knew the chinese foods were faking and not really chinese food in St.Augustine, Fl USA. so I just ate it! ha some of kids kept on asking me question about travel, so I explained them about travel and Chinese people. At around 1pm, I was talking to two teacher about Chinese. then I arrived to classroom alittle late. In the few mins later, my bitch temp teacher(MJ) was dirty looking at me. I knew that She complained to my boss, Mary Taylor and wont talk to me. I dont pay attention to her. She is really younger and dont understand about deaf kids at all. Next day, My boss asked me to discuss with her around afternoon. I said, ok! At the afternoon, my boss, Mary Taylor and I dicussed about the problem, I told her that I will be alittle late, " why did you tell her that I will be late?" My boss was really furious with me due to her bad mood, and wanted me to tell sorry to her. I did not tell her to sorry. bcs I knew I did not make a mistake. I did not getting into the agurment with her bcs I just mellow and be cool., but She kept to give me a hint that she wanted me to tell her sorry! Finally, i said, I am sorry. she said, Finally, I just keep it cool! so we dicussed other topic the kids. my mind says, oh, man! my bitch temp teacher made a frame on me! (she was jelous of me)In few months later, my boss, taylor started to noticed that MJ dont know how to handle the emotions kids.... why??? one girl(12 years old) got blow up and push on MJ. Bcs MJ liked to pick on her and kept on bother on her. I told her leave her alone and I grabbed MJ's arm out of her sight. The 12 years old girl started to calm down and started to discuss with me. MJ started to jelous me bcs I know how to handle with emotion kids and girl too. When the 12 years old girl walked with me and not talk to MJ at all. That s why I am saying MJ dont know nothing about deaf kids.

work out for running and spend time with my son on Jan 18 during night time

I have had been running for a month. my running rounte is at Nayang Techical University at track field. I am trying to improvement for my condition to able to do BJJ grappling and more endrance! so anyway, When I am finish 5 laps at track field, I turned to run at hallway. I saw a guy who walked across on the Pedestrian crossing, the black car was hitted on a guy's leg, who was fallen on the floor and seems really hurt really bad. It look like a hitting a america football and seems hitting a little harder. His leg is alittle movement. The other guy drove the black car, who was not pay attention to let a guy walked across the road.( in singapore rule, the car must let walker goes on the pedestrian crossing.) Two guy was in black car. They seems alittle shock and helped a guy who was hurting and was lying on the grass. I knew a guy will going to be healing in three weeks to a month.

After I finished shower from running. My wife was teaching my son(9 months old) for showing him a few sign languages: ball, banana, monkey and apple from flash cards. I joined her to do teach my son for sign language and funny face expressional with my voice. I am trying to encourse to my son to do comedian for face expressional. My wife told me that our baby got a smile when my wife was teaching him a sign language with flash card and showed him a picture of the animals from flash card. He is sooo cute to smile!

Extreme Japan

Last Tuesday, I like a tv show called extreme Japan. The hosts are one Singaporean woman and one Japanese man. I noticed that Japanese man was willing to tranlate from Japan to English for Guest host Singporean. There are mostly guest host are singaporean. Bcs of TV show is Singapore tv. There is NO Closed Caption! but only Chinese subtitle! I just do is watching the funny bachivor and interest to see at Japan. Sad news, Last Tuesday was last day of the extreme Japan.. oh, shooT!!!!!!!!!!!

(this is American surfer student who lives in area of Port Orange, Fl and I used to live out of Daytona beach when I was really younger. I think the American Surfer student dont really understand the real world look like. He needs to explore to learn their culture and education for better life;Therefore, he would able to study the histories at other countries like Indonesia, Japan, and South America, where the surfers would able to knowledge the world look like. I am really glad that I am finish up school at High school, Community College, and University. I would say, I trulty am apprection that Nancy Locker helped me a lot at Community College for study the english and Social Science and Now, I know a lot of histories myself in real world. thanks Nancy Locker!!!!)

Please let your student know that life is much longer than he is thinking about and that you never know what opportunity will come to you. I have friends who have set their sites on surfing and then become paralyzed. I have friends who have succeeded beyond their dreams, too, but usually that doesn't happen to someone who is blind to the rest of life.

It would be arrogant and silly of me to think that surfing is the only thing even for my life that is going to bring me freedom and prosperity. There are many other areas that you can learn a lot of exciting things from and transition them into your life. School is not a difficult thing to finish. It is much more difficult sometimes to just admit we are being arrogant and we have a lot to learn. That is also the way to garnering real respect from others and until we realize that we can receive a lot of wake up calls.

I hope you are able to see that surfing may just be something that is fun and good for now but might not be permanently. After all, when you're done with that you'll have to know what to do with your money and the rest of your life.

Life skills are more important than surfing skills any day of the week cause when you're down, people will remember how you acted when you were on top. I don't know exactly the situation here but if you really want to force the issue, we can have a surf-off. If you beat me, I'll keep my mouth shut and let you figure it out.... :) Have fun. See ya.

City Harvest

Last Saturday afternoon at 4pm, my wife, our baby, and I went to City Harvest at Expo for Xmas church and performance. My wife was busy with our baby at nursey school where the babies stay with their moms at one room. I went to church with my hearing friends, I was surpised to see Ken Lai, Saul and one deaf friend came to see our church . I watched the beauiful performance about relate to Jesus's born for an hours and 30 mins lecture about the save the jesus. I have had diffutcult time to live in Singapore due to different culture and personally problem. I am trying to do is improvement my own self confidence and try to reduced angry. I wanted to improvment to do training at martial arts schoool, which it helps me to improvement myself and started to training on first week of November at www.kuenculture.com, and every time, I finished training, next day, i work at my company, i turn to be happy. Bcs of reduce the stressful. If i dont training at martial arts school very often, I will turn to grumpy person. I think, i should be stick to training at Martial arts school.

back to this topic, so the pastor named Rev.Kong Hee asked someone to come to front on his stage to improvement based on my faith. The interpreter, Jac Chan(not superstar jackie chan) knew that I have a personal problem, so she suggest me to go to meet Rev. Kong Hee. I said, ok! so I came to his stage. I pray for myself for few mins. then Rev Kong Hee was doing hand shake to four people and he knew that i am deaf due to saw an interview with me. He was doing hand shake to me. I said, " thank you" he uses sign language " HI, I am happy with you and happy lord with you!" his sign langauge was not bad, i am pretty surpised he knows sign language . he has one older brother and oldest sister who are deaf. I just guess that Rev Kong dont know a lot of sign langauge, he proves me wrong. I am really glad that Rev Kong knows Sign Language. KEEP IT UP SIGN LANGUAGE FOR REV KONG HEE!

Two differents view of the job in Singapore and America.

During years of Aug 2001 to Jan 2005, I had been working at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind for 4 and half years as teacher aide,sub resident aide and sub characters work for bus on every weekend. They have had activies on every month of the events: American football homecoming, Thanksgiving, x mas , and basketball. I also usually get off from work during thanksgiving, x mas, spring break and summer. I loved my job very much. Let's me to tell you for my daily schedule:
610am: wake up
615am:showers
625am: change my clother
630am: get a truck key and leave at my house
645am: arrive to work at FSDB
7am:wake our boys at Special needs
715: get our few boys need to get medical
730: eat their breakfast

8am: go to school and get in classroom.

When I got hired from China Knowledge at Sectec City as a Web design on Nov7th.
I can feel that i got pressure that people at our company are pressure and do urgent often. My boss, Charles is chinese. I feel strange that I am not in America anymore. I looked around the Singaporean(chinese) and I am working for Singaproean company and the Deafies five collegues: Wan See, Andy Toh,(me), Mick Loh(manager), and Micheal from Malacca, Malaysia and Singaorean PR. We are doing do China Knowledge Online, we are working with China Knowledge Press with hearing co workers. I am working with Jin San and Roy, who are writer and eitdor. Roy(Singaporean) graduated at University of Texas in Austin, he told me he had a good memories during he was in USA for 6 or 8 years. Here is my daily schedule in Singapore:

Let's me say about Graphic Design in Florida. I had been interview for graphic design about 5 times from Jan 2000 to May 2000. My mind said " do my BFA degree worth to me to get graphic design job?" or due to my deafness? I knew that mostly Floridian people dont really aware about ADA law due to no one gives a leture about ADA law in Florida, so I decided to apply at FSDB as a resident aide or Teacher aide. In few days later, I got a e mail from Karla Knight, who was superivor at Elementary School at FSDB , so I got a job for Temp job and one year later, I got perm job for four years. Later on, I quitted my job on Feb 1st.

When I got a job as a web design and photo library at www.chinaknowledge.com by interview the deaf manager named Mick Loh and recommended by Wan See, who is Web Master and web programmer. She is best friend with my wife. I got a chance to work there from Nov 7th to now. In very recently, my mind says, " it is worth to have my college degress as a graphic design and photography! and thanks to WAN SEE!!!!!

on Dec 15th, The opening cermony dinner was helding at Singapore Swimming club at 5 30pm to 11pm. The place was quite nice and bigger dinner place. I met filipino women who wanted to foundation of the Phippline Deaf Associate for sport so we chatted them and her sigh langauge is almost same as a ASL. My wife and I were enjoying to eat the marvel food and dessert was sooooo good! I saw the international people: Korean,Taiwan, Kuwait, phippline, Malaysia, Maccau, Thailand, and solvia(spell??) on Dec 16th, my wife got a 10th years anniversity at her work called TDK. she invited me and our son to have a nice dinner. We ate a lot of Japanese food. I was pig out for sushi! ha! My wife's boss offered me to drink red wine. when I drank the red wine, I knew it is expensive wine. I told my wife s boss that OZ's wine is best of all than America's wine. My wife ate a Japanese green tea pie, i asked her " is it very good for green tea pie?" she noddled her head says " yes" so I got Japanese green tea pie and red wine. it was perfect taste for "two in one". It was really really YUMMY!


on Dec 17th, I went to 2nd anniversity of bowling. The bowling is two block of the muslim mosquie(church). I went there for doing a volunteer. I showed up at 11am, I was supposed to be there at 9 am, but I wanted to have a more hours sleep and spend time with my son. When I got a there at 11am and just a start to competation, I noticed there is not really organize at all due to lack of communication from a deaf person who is responsible at bowling events and seminar camp. that s why a person is alot of busy and do earrands. so I helped to Ken Lai for bowling event. There have 12 bowling lanes for singaporean and Malaysian bowlers. I met one guy who was coming from vietnam. I told him that My father was war with viet cong(bad vietnamese group) in Vietnam war(1965 to 1968???) My father is still refused to come to Singapore due to asian southeast and really near to Vietnam. I told him i cannot blame on him. He asked me if i am scared to travel to other place or vietnam, i told him , NO, I am not scare go there; however, I will travel to Vietnam to see the real life of the war. I also travelled over 12 differents countries. We had only chatting for 15 mins. Because he had to go to tour bus for ahead to Sentosa and I had to help my friend for bowling events. ciao!

Last Tuesday, I went to Library for looking a book called Catch! A fishmonger's guide to greatness. I looked at cover book about fishes. I realized that place called World Famous Pike Place Fish in Seatte. I went there five years ago, and really beauiful place to see. A fishmonger worker starts to work at around 630am to ?? they are have become quite skilled at throwing crab, salmon, and even bags of calms. I read this book for three days and almost finish. I am stronger recommand you to read this book and great funny stories makes you thinking to work skills, intention and determine your actions.

Phnom Penh- Angelina Jolie just became your south-east Asian neighour. Officials said she has been granted a cambodian passport.The actress, who has an adopted Cambodian child, Maddos, has campigned for environmental reforms there and was rewarded with citizenship last Aug.
an interMinistry spokesman said she applied for the passport after she was granted citizenship. Mr Stephan Bognar, executive director of the Maddox Jolie project in Cambodia, said she was "absolutely thrilled" with the passport.
The Project promotes wildlife conservation and development in a former khmer Rouge guerilla stronghold.
She donated more than US$1.5 million(S$2.5million) to the project in the past three years, Mr bognar said.
