I felt that media people should not bother them to take a photos of them unless you need to ask them to permit to get a photos of them. If i saw bunch of famous people in america. I am sort of professional photographer and I dont really bother them to taken photos. I know that Media people needs a money to taken a photo of famous people. Why do they are special people to taken a photos unless you wanted to have a good portfolio. Just asking a famous people allow you to taken a better photos for your portfolio.
