Let s tell you about my mom. She is very special to me, and she always to do for me like let me know, money, culture, and her families. She told my wife about her belief life and Japanese culture. She and I went to Japan when I was 14 years old, I am truthly thankful to my mom to taken me to see real Japanese culture, people, and my families. Also My mom and I went to Japan recently. I do still enjoying to hang out with my mom for eating together, meet my families, and visit my late grandfather grave yard. My mom said:The celebration of the New Year is the biggest time in Japan. It is so special in Japan. On the New year's Eve, People dress up and go to shrines and temples to pray for good luck of the coming new year. If I was in Japan, I may go to one of the shrines or somewhere, as a Japanese tradition, but I am a Christian, so I'll pray to our only God and thank and praise our savior, Jesus Christ.

Japanese people eat and drink for 3 days from January 1 to 3. Usually people don't go to work except police men and mailmen like that. They visit relatives and friends wearing the best dress, usually Japanese Kimono,to say "Happy New Year" and drink and eat there. That's why the most of your Japanese co-workers went to Japan.

I am invited to a friend's home on the Eve. I don't know what Ken will do. I think he will visit his friends. I miss Japanese New Year's Eve and 3 days in January. I am away from it for 36 years. That's longer than your age. But, I don't have a plan to visit Japan during that time, because it is too cold in Japan.

Besty is member of USA women's soccer team for Deaflympics

Besty:Anyway, about the game. we will have our first game on January 6th. I asked my teammate, Jenni about the schedule and game. We all have no idea because it was changed ... games and schedules were changing. I found out that we were on "football" team... not soccer team because it was other foreign country which called us as football which meant soccer. It is odd.

Kenichi:Hey, I know about terms about Soccer between Football. When I was in Singapore in 2001. I saw newspaper about football. I was puzzled about a term for football, not soccer, so I asked my girlfriend(now my wife) about terms for football. My wife explained me that mostly international, they are using Football for as a soccer execpt USA. In USA, An American people called soccer, and they(players) are carrying brown ball by the hands which it called football.

Besty:Hahah you know about football and soccer issues. I do know but I thought it might be changing, but it doesn't! Strange. You made me laughing! Not funnY! haha Yeah, I am the best football player! pft! Guess what??? Today at the afternoon, We were practicing for our offenses... I was more like laid back for a bit..research things around about what coaches are expecting for... All the suddenly, Asst. Coach Ken decided to put me into the position which was off the point that I was SWEEPER! I was thrilled!!! I never played before. I really enjoyed it so much becuase I REALLY MADE my team so PISSED OFF. I was shocked and laughed to see that!! no kidding. I got them off their mind!! They cannot handle the ball because of me! Hahaha I got the ball away many times. Coaches were smiling and saying good job!!! I like that! Good kicking. Good job.. repeating.. I laughed.. One thing, Kelli, on my team.. She is so good at kicking that FAR.. but I got her out of the balance. I got a ball mark on my leg.. I will have a bruise that looks like soccer ball!! I bet on that! haha. Kelli said wow you are really good to block me! Because no one could block or control ball from her! The team really got so frustrating with me and my team.. we are only 6 players out of 10 players on their offense. I thought it was really funnY! I enjoyed that anyway. Coaches were going to explore some positions that team will play tomorrow and will save me for the best! That is fine because i got the strong feeling that I will be playing ALOT sooner! I am not surprised!!! smile.I wish I could get that chance to ask someone to videotape this one becuase you will laugh at me and the team! you will say oh yeah way to go, Betsy!! ha smile(you can see her photos, which she shows me where her bruise is. )

Yesterday, (12pm) Matt Galster and I went to surfing at St.Augustine Pier. I would say one to four feet with mushy semi-glassy. He used my fishy board 6 feet 21 wide iches and 2 5/8 iches thickness. I used Darcey s board. his board is 6'2 feet 18 1/2 wide iches and 2 3/8 iches. I caught few good waves which the waves were over my head. The waves were alittle swell and pretty good forms. In few hours later(5pm), Matt and I went to A street. I saw pretty good form waves and alot of swell than this noon. The water temperate was 55 degree. bbbBbbbrrrrr but I was handle for an hour. I was paddled at water. the waves were pretty good (two to six feet) I caught three or four times good swell! Matt caught few good waves. I saw three local professional surfers: zack morton and Chris and other guys( i dont know his name) Zack morton caught the good waves (6ft) and doing air on left side. wow!

First time
