An interview at Giant Super Market in Singapore.
Yesterday, I went to IMM Mall at Jurong East near to Mrt. I was looking for a number of the an interview for a few jobs positions. Finally, I found a number of the room for an interview for as a walk in. I saw them and took a form. I wrote a fill it out for form with attend on my resume. The muslim lady told me to wait for next number and they will call up on my name, so I was waiting around 20 mins and read newspaper. I saw a guy, who seems from european. I sat on the chair and saw his name seems siminar from Italy, and he is supervior of the seafood for Giant. Let s me diaglog:
Ken: I am deaf( Gesture Sign Langauge)
The Italian man: You dont speak? (Gesture Sign Language)
Ken: I can speak a little.
The Italian man: Do you know that you need to be experence to work for fish cuttery?
Ken: NO, but I do know how to cut the fruit and Vegetable. I am willing to learn how to do cut the fish.
The Italian man: You need to know how to do cut the fish cuttery.
Ken: I do experence to work at food store, it considers to be count.
The Italian Man: (say nothing)
Ken: are you Italian?
The Italian Man: Greek Cypriot and talked to other boss about me.
Ken: speak to other boss on my voice. (I am deaf)
Other boss man: yeah, he told me about it.. (handshake)
Ken: (I noticed that Greek man asked to other boss about giving me a chance to work with him)
Greek man: The position is not for IMM, but Mannia Square ok?
Ken: yes, I saw it at Mannia Square says grand open sooner.
Greekman: most starting salarys are around $S850.00 to $S1000.00 per month
but for fish cutting which requires a skill we pay a bit more. I need to dicuss with our HR Dept.
Ken: nodding my head.
Greekman: Do you have any problem with working public holiday or weekend or shifts?
Ken: nodding my head says NO
Greek man: I will presure your application in to your HR Deptarment and they will contact you with-in 2 days. We will require you to bring 2 passport photos, bank details and NRIC card. They will sms you.
Ken: Ok (speak)
Greekman: asked me question about the application form.
Ken: write a form paper to show him.
Greekman: Do not be offended but I need to know. "Is your wife also deaf?"
Ken: Yes
Greekman: I will sms you as to when to come to do the Skills test. ok? I think tomorrow.
Ken: given him a friendly for "thank you" (speaking my voice)
I will wait to see if they are doing to sms me or not. I will wait for their repond.

CSHI for deaf school
Karen and I went to see old school at Canossian school for Hearing Impaired last Saturday (5/3/2005) . Karen just told me that school was usually to named Canossian School for the Deaf. now, they changed the name due to change from Sign Language to Oral School. Karen and I were enter the CSHI and met her old friends. They dont really hug their hugs like USA deaf people. I met her old friends, they are mostly using sign langauge, but I noticed that currently kids use their Coclear Implants and digital hearing Aids. They are using their voice, and alittle sign language. In my mind, what s wrong with them? I wondered, if they are happy to have a communication with their voice and vocbal abused by the Catholican teacher, who forced them to use their voice. If the kids dont listen to Catholican teacher, they will given them a punishment. I dont know what kind of punishment. My friend, Ken Lai and I were walking together to get the foods. Somehow, Ken met his old teacher, I saw old Catholican teacher talked him in her voice, Ken was pretty good catch their voice and not really 100% understand their lipread. The old Catholican teacher seems wanted to talk me, and asked me a few question. I was not interested to talk her. I let Ken Lai takes care himself to communcate with her. Karen had alittle enjoying to see her old teacher and old friends. I think, They are doing okay. but mostly older deafies people use their sign langauge instead of using their voice, I am pretty sure that currenly kids will learn more sign language in the future due to understandable expressional their feeling in deaf language. Do you agree with me?

Korea
I was really sad to leave America. I flew the airplane by the Delta airline from Jacksonville, Florida to Atlanta to Seoul Korea. When I was arrived to Seoul, Korea. I was supposed to taken my surfboard and bigger bag, it was not shown up on the arrive gates, so I was spoken to Korean airline worker, she said, that she will find a number for my baggier and send to Singapore. I said, " ok, " my mind says, perfect, i dont have to be worrying to taken to hotel. so I was taken my photographer bag and my backnapper personally. I went to get bus ticket for go to Seoul, Korean(downtown) and it is only 8 dollars. When I arrived to downtown, I saw a tons of seafood around shopping and was looking for a hostel. I asked to taxi driver "where is hostel" The taxi driver said, " I am going to call to them and they are no longer service" (gesture sign langauge) so They tried to help me fully to looking for a hostel. The taxi driver and I was looking for address of the hostel. The taxi driver found it. We entered the hostel. the taxi driver said, this is not hostel, they were moving to other place and talked to other man,m so We drove to new hostel. it seems far away and dont know where it is. I decided to drop me off near to downtown and see nice temple. I knew I had awake all the night from 10pm to noon time. I walked to see nice temple. The outside was -5 C during the night time.. BBBRRrrrrRrrRr I walked around the downtown and went to see bigger market and Namdaemum, it was really nice to see during night time, I will show you photos.

then I was really bored to do something, I decided to do go to Cafe internet and get sleep for 15 mins. I only paid cafe internet for 2,000 Won (USA 2.50 dollars) for an hour. and browser around the downtown and saw flurries snow for an hour... The food paddler at outside was seem pretty good food. At 630am, I went to see temple, I cannot remember what was that temple called and I was enjoying to browser around the temple . Then go to Anguk Station. I walked to see ChangDeokgung Palace. They told me that They will open at 9am, so I decided to go to resturant for a breakfast. the Breakfast was YUMMY! after that, I went to see Changdeokgung Palace, They allow me to get free ticket and I entered, those palace was really bigger than i thought. I was browsering to see different temple and see their culture. I took some of photos for this palace. I was really enjoying to see this palace due to alittle same from Japan Palace.
around 945am, I was a jogged to Anguk Station for getting bus, which it needs to go to International Airport. Tiger Cup Champion for Singaporeans soccer players.
This Feb will be on my second home at Singapore. I am sort of surpised that Singaporean soccer Players have had been really working hard to get Champion for Tiger Cup Champion. Singaporean and Indonesians had a two finally games: They were gotten for first leg of the games at Senayana, Indonesia. Singapore 3 - Indonesia 1 on Jan 8, 2005 then at National Stadium, it is location to near at the Singapore Assoication for the Deaf. Singaporean and Indonesian played at National Stadium for second leg of the games in Singapore on Jan 16, 2005. guess who????? Singaporean soccer team won again! 2 to 1!!!
Tsunami
When I got back to work on Jan 3, 2005 from x mas vacation (stay home). Alot of staff asked me "are you okay?" or "did you arrived from thailand", or " is my wife okay at Singapore?" I told them that "I was staying home, and my wife is okay now".
most of staff say " oh, that's great" or " I am glad that my wife is safe."

Xmas
I realized that I was forgetten to mention about my wife(Karen Tan)during x mas vacation. Let's talking about my vacation in a three years in a row. When I went to visiting to Singapore for 2001, 2002, and 2003. I felt I was something missing bcs I did not go to Singapore this year for 2004 xmas vacation due to money and go to Singapore on Feb 6th. I would like to show you photos at 2003 x mas and 2004 x mas at Orchard place with their Christmas tree.

Randy Moss has an athethic players, he is good at Basketball and Football. He was playing for semi-pro basketball for short time, and still a sort of cocky for his age and earned alot of money. He is good friend with Jason William, who was playing for NBA basketball team. but He is nearest to early 30's years old. He needs to be grown up for being to be mellow man in the future.

surfed at A street on Jan 6, 2005
OH, Brah! I surfed almost two weeks in a row. I surfed on Dec 29, 30, 31, Jan 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, The reason why is that I surfed alot in two weeks in a row within the beauiful 60 to 75 F degree. bcs I will not surfing alot at Singapore, which I will be move on first week of Feb 2005
Anyway, I surfed at A street, I was parking at beach on the A street. I saw the waves were pretty good and really glassy. The waves were two to five feets with nice form. I surfed from 4 pm to 6 30pm. I hopeully, it will be get alast from now to Jan 14th. wait and see!

surfing at A street.
At the 350pm, I went to A street. My truck can make to get enter the beach site, where the sand is at. (not alot of white sand for being make a stuck for my truck) I saw the waves were pretty good for two to five feet with Glassy! I decided to use Darcy s surfboard 6'2" x 11 1/3 x 18 3/4 x 14 1/16 x 2 1/4 Pearson Arrow Surfboard. When I was paddled this board, it was very good board for match this waves. I caught about 15 times in 45 mins. I wanted to change the board. I took other board: 5'11" x 11 3/8 x 18 3/8 x 14 1/4 x 2 1/8 Ispired surfboard. I got back to beach, I felt that this board is not match, so I decided to go ahead.. I was frusting this board, I knew, it will be easier to catch the waves. I caught three waves in about 20 mins, so I changed to back to first one of the board. I took it back. I went to back to beach again, I was really happy to this board, and caught the waves about 15 times in an hour and half. I caught msotly of good waves today!
Bad mood in the morning!
On December 17, 2004, I was working for Teacher Aide. Around 8am, I told Michelle(teacher) that Anothy Johnsey has not getting his breathing Treatment(ashsma) , which it was in his dorm. Because I was busy to do with trouble for Nicky, Please ask your IA to get a Coclear Implant. She was freaking out and getting into really mad. I told her "chill out" She also has a 5 months pregrant. Obviously, she had a stressful from her mind. Let s read this stories!

Surfing at A street (St.Augustine)
At 3pm, Matt Galster and I (Kenichi) went to surfing at A street. The water was pretty colder (55 degree convert to 14 C). The waves were pretty good during this afternoon. Because of semi-glassy. The wave size was three to five feet. guess what?!! we finished up for surfing at 545pm. Matt and I were really exhaused from surfing for around two and half hours. I was counting how many times that I caught 38 times to surf the waves and Matt caught the waves about 35 times. We think that we had a good surfing this afternoon than this morning.

On Happy New Year, When I was gettting up from bed. I decided to check e mail. I put on for AIM and MSN chatting. Some of my friends talked me about what to do last night. they asked me if i went to party for New Year's eve party. I told them" Nope, I stayed home for doing web design and blog. bcs My hunch tells me to stay home and not going to out for drinking the couple of beers. bcs In St.Augustine, there are boring town, and grown up there for 25 years. Let me tell you this. I went to Singapore and Thailand for three years a row during my x mas vacation from 2001 to 2003.First time for my x mas vacation, I went to see my girlfriend Named Karen Tan( now my wife) at Singapore. I was first time to meet my gf at Singapore airport and nervous to meet my girlfriend. then when i saw her, she was cute and shorty. I can see her face tells me that she is excited to meet me first time. Then I met him and kisses her and she and I are alittle different Sign language at first. then in few mins, I caught her sign langauge for doing 30% of the Hong Kong Sign Language and 70% of SEE2 and ASL. We got a chance to understandable eachother to get communication for being back and forth. We got better to get known eachother for two weeks. Then We went to Bangkok, Thailand. There are totally different culture for me. Because when I was first day of Bangkok, alot of paddlers begged me to buy their supplies for memories. I was overhead to look around them. My wife told me to not pay attention to them. I said, Okay! so I walked away. that culture was really shock to me. Because they have a poor and rich area. I saw some of Transexual people around Bangkok. I can tell a person who was man due to look at neck and shape of muscle. They have some of Chinese, Thailand and Malaysia, which they have buddism, tao, and muslium.
During the night time of Dec 30th 2001: After show at 9pm, we had not had our dinner yet so we went to shopping center to find a place to eat but unfortunately, all the shops are closed already at 930pm or 10pm. We had found a last open up resturant. When we sat down and started to order food, then we had chatted. Kenichi saw one thailand girl and a white man sitting next to him. Suddenly, Kenichi saw her writing a note to talk to him and he told me about it. I saw them doing that. Then she saw kenichi and he asked her if she is deaf. she nodded. Thats how we know about them. She thought that Kenichi is tourist and come from Italy or Nepal, but he explained to her that he comes from America. Then she started to talk to him cuz she seems more interested in American men cuz she told him that she heard that many American/Italian men like Thailand girls and then marrying them off. Kenichi was puzzled and dont know about it but he explained to her celarly that I am Kenichi's girlfriend. Heh.... then he asked her where we can meet any deaf people in club where they(deaf thai) often hang out. She explained to him wher we can meet deaf Thai people there. That s why we meet some of deaf people by chance when shopping at the same time.
